Shoes On is the creation of two busy mums -  Lynne Bromnick and Sam Hill. Lynne and Sam used to work together in the kids footwear team at Marks and Spencer before we had our kids.

Sam was the ‘numbers’ person working as a Merchandiser and Lynne was the footwear 'techy' making sure that the shoes fitted and were made to the correct specification in the factories.

We had our first daughters 6 weeks apart and both enjoyed maternity leave. On returning to M&S we compared notes as our children grew up in the following years and both realised that getting our kids feet measured and fitted for shoes was something of a nightmare. The process of buying shoes on the high street is so non user-friendly!  Poorly trained Saturday girls in shoe shops who know nothing of shoe manufacture, design, fit or quality.. How could they know anything with only a couple of hours training. However, the worst thing was the inconvenience of getting the children into the shoe shop, sitting patiently whilst the poor attendant tried to find something suitable.

Then came the second round of babies.. Lynne having a son with particularly deep and wide feet. Buying shoes for him was a nightmare as none of the ‘normal’ boring brands would fit him.

Eventually, we decided enough was enough!..  The idea of running our own shoe business had always been a dream, but suddenly it dawned upon us that it might actually be a worthwhile business...

Hence.. Shoes On was created. We wanted to offer a personal on-line service, offering great looking shoes and boots for children aged 0 and up. However,  as well as offering shoes for standard width fittings, we were determined to offer something special for wide, deep fitting feet and slim, narrow feet.

As well as catering for children we were determined to put together a fantastic range for women with a focus on comfort, style and quality.

We now pride ourselves on our exceptional service and are proud to have built a loyal customer base from around the world.
